Title Examiner Job Description:
Title Examiner is responsible for the production of professional, error-free, and timely title insurance
products, including but not limited to Commitments for Title Insurance and Limited Title Reports.
Duties:
- Revise such products as needed. (The product must be error-free as possible.)
- Upload and/or send copies of recorded documents, maps, title chain, tax certificates, Schedule B items, or
- other items onto the company portal.
- Utilize a title plant (Datatrace and Datatree) the o examine Quainton to determine any effects on a
- property and type Commitments for Title Insurance and other title insurance products.
- Analyze property records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plat, and others
- map books, to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify legal description of property and
- completeness of records,
- Understand, plot, and interpret conclude to conclude ownership and description of
- property.
- Review title commitments/reports for accuracy.
- Answer department emails and title requests in a timely fashion.
- Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external clients.
- Work with escrow officers, underwriters, and occasionally attorneys and customers to resolve title defects
- and issues.
- Communicate correct information to escrow regarding title issues.
- Primarily work on residential properties, but also work on all levels of examination including, but not
- limited to, new construction, sectional/metes and bounds, leasehold, and commercial properties.
- Must be able to meet assigned deadlines effectively.
