Title Recorder Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recording documents (i.e., checking them for accuracy and legibility, verifying vesting and legal descriptions, verifying lender-requested endorsements, interfacing with escrow officers, scanning to the County).
- Running date downs (i.e., searching for newly recorded docs and determining if they affect the transaction before recording).
- Typing title policies promptly (i.e., filling in newly recorded document information, adding necessary exceptions, completing appropriate endorsements, uploading copies to escrow file, and mailing).
- Responding to lender and coworker requests via email and telephone promptly.
- Making sure your office is kept clean and organized at all times, following CFPB requirements.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to proofread materials for typographical errors, etc.
- Organize and prioritize tasks, being able to recognize the urgency.
- Read, understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Communicate effectively and in an understandable manner.
- Recognize and solve problems independently.
- Ask for assistance when not able to proceed.
